Hello Kitty Boba Fett Tattoo

Even though it’s completely obvious to any sane person that Hello Kitty and tattoos don’t mix, they keep arriving in my email box. I’m not sure what the fascination is with Star Wars and Hello Kitty tattoo combinations, but seeing as that there have already been a Hello Kitty Darth Vader tattoo and a Hello Kitty storm trooper tattoo, it really shouldn’t be a surprise that someone would feel the need to get a Hello Kitty Boba Fett tattoo:

Hello Kitty Boba Fett Tattoo

My wife thinks that because I like Star Wars that this would be a perfect tattoo for me (she mentioned the same thing about the storm trooper and Darth Vader Hello Kitty tattoos as well). All I can say is that this is once again just completely wrong — something that seems to happen far too often when you live in Hello Kitty Hell…

Sent in by Kimi who I should wish terrible things to happen to for ever thinking it would be a good idea to send something like this to me, but having to live with this tattoo is more punishment than I could ever conceive…

Update: You knew that there would have to be more than one and it’s further proof that Hello Kitty is the darkside:

  1. Looks like Boba Fett is camouflaged, the only thing bad about this taboo is the man sub jest need to stand out more.
Star Wars fan? are you a Star Wars Geek, do you have a collection of action figures and dress up like a Jedi? Perhaps you wife need to rant on a blog Star Wars Hell. Fair is fair

Nope, its boba, Jango is blue and silver.

So… Boba fett again being trashed but some else than Lucas himself. (come on… clone??).
I remember the days when nobody knew anything about him at some even thought he was a she… kickass bounty hunter girl power and all.

All and all, the tattoo is well done, has nice coloring and despite the theme and all the flowers crowded over it, its nicely drawn. *remembers the ninja and cupcake ones and shivers*

  4. You have a problem dude.

See how Hello Kitty inspires people to express themselves through creativity? Isn’t that wonderful?

    You should try it yourself.

  5. Sure, a bit of cross-(pop)cultural mixing is fine – the Darth Vader and Storm Trooper tattoos have a certain post-modern chic about them. I wouldn’t get them myself, but I’d date a girl who did.

But combining Boba Fett with flowers? That’s just dumb.

  6. I hate this person for ruining a great character! Boba Fett rocks and this person screwed that one right in the pooch….

Crazy HK lovers and their crazy VD (visual depictions) <-it’s redundant on purpose… I swear.

  7. See, I would have said that Boba’s armour was “old and distressed looking”, just like the flying orbital sander! 😛

Jango’s is new and clean looking, like the set in the tattoo.

And I agree with Marlene about the creativity angle, and sith (sic) Sansicarus; I’d not get one of those tats myself, but I’d date a girl who had.

Boba Fett’s armour would’ve been new when he first got it. There’s no way on the twin suns of Tatooine the bounty hunter in that tattoo could be Jango. Unless one had a problem distinguishing blue from green…

Also, were you agreeing with me or checking my grammar?

    🙂

  9. I’d understood that Boba was Jango’s child, and had inherited the armour and ship.
And yes I was agreeing with you; the “…sith (sic)…” part was almost a typo, but then I thought it was funny in context.

  10. I may be wrong, but I think Boba was actually a clone of Jango, that he got as payment for using his DNA as the matrix for the clone army. But Jango requested Boba’s growth patterns be set at the rate of a normal human, so that Jango could raise him as a child. Complicated? Yes. But the only people allowed to procreate normally in George Lucas’s mind are Anakin and Padme, and look where that got them both.

The armour? If my nerd-brain doesn’t fail me, the armour is refered to somewhere or another as Mandalorian armour. So I’m assuming this is a humanoid species, probably warlike, and the style of armour are the threads they get out and about in as they zip around the universe being the cool bad guy and modelling for action figures.

There was a cousin too, Counter Fett. His armour was red, I believe, but not worth the plastic it was moulded out of…

  11. Wow… I’m totally lost.
I know nothing, never read a Starwars book and have seen the newest movies exactly once each.
Am I really missing out that much?

Okay, MR. HKH, I think for christmas I should do a cross stitch sampler of all the HK Starwars characters for you…
I wonder what a Wookie HK would look like???
    Pretty sweet I bet! 😉

I envy your lack of knowledge about those films.

    @mhkitty06:
That was an attempt at humour, yes. Glad you dug it.

  13. I’m with you I’m totally lost. I’ve only seen Star Wars the Original. If that’s even what you call it, and I was like 7.

@mhkitty06 Don’t waste your time cross stiching for MHKH…. (do you really cross stitch?)

  14. I saw episode 1 once, somehow avoided 2 completely, and gave up on 3 after 20 minutes of over-bright over detaled explosions and noise.

And you’ve all ignored the cousin who was into cookery and musical theatre, Com Fett!

  15. Thanks Catherine 🙂

Someone should really do an art installation of all these Fett’s we’re coming up with. I wanna see Retro Fett and Disco Fett!

  16. LOL, we need Brian back here to draw them up!

I have one Femi-Fett… she shoots those evil HK tampons at people! Sorry, I had to go there…

@Catherine: Yes I do! I have many a hello kitty pattern, many I made myself! Want them? I am more than happy to share!

  17. @mhkitty06..You must not have children to have all that time…(I’m so envious)

I wouldn’t mind seeing Gucci Fet, or perhaps Prada Fet.
Those I could relate to. 😉

  18. Weird….HK does the bounty hunter scene with abysmal success for no one would take her ‘hugs and happiness’ at blaster point. =P

Kinda off topic, but is Marlene the new Darlene?!?

  19. Darlene/Marlene is possibly the most annoying person I have ever come across. What does she smoke?
    And that tattoo is horrendous.

  21. HK Junkie. For the record. Intergalactic war should never be “kawaii”. Bounty hunters are not cute. Star Wars and cute should never be mixed. We have learned this from the abomination that was Jar Jar. Hang your head in shame.

  22. I just showed this to my boyfriend thinking he’d be disgusted with the desecration of Boba Fett, just like i am. But instead he said he liked it and would consider getting it. I may be dating a future fanatic. I knew that he had a somewhat excessive love of cats in general, but my mistake was not realizing how this might affect my own HelloKittyHell.

From now on I will restrict all access to the Kitty, and make sure to paint her in as evil a light as possible.

  23. That is MY foot. I have no idea who Merriam is and why she sent it in, but it’s TOTALLY my foot. Also, the picture is crappy quality and it looks way better in real life.
