Hello Kitty Cheetos

When it comes to ruining foods, look no further than the evil feline. Her latest endeavor in her never ending quest to put the Hello Kitty name on anything and everything in the world is the creation of Hello Kitty Cheetos:

Hello Kitty Cheetos snacks

As you can see by the image just above “Cheetos” on the package, Chester Cheetah seems just as displeased about this development as I am. Who can blame him? Add him to the growing list of those suffering in Hello Kitty Hell…

  1. Why didn’t they just dye the cheetos pink? As they are now it looks as if they aren’t as cheesey as normal cheetos are.

  2. The bag is so cute! I’d buy it just to save it.

I agree though, it doesn’t have that orange look of Cheetos.
It looks like the writing on the bag is spanish, do they not put the same amount of cheese flavoring on it?

  3. @Sprinkle – If we mean Spanish as in “from Spain” rather than just as in “the language”, they have very strong laws against the use of any “artificial”* colourings in foods.

    * – For values of “artificial” which reflect whether or not the colourant occurs in one or more of the ingredients of the food, rather than whether not it is naturally occurring.

  4. Well yeah, as I refered to the writing as being in spanish I assumed people would understand that I meant any country that uses spanish as it’s primary language. Which is not JUST Spain.
Maybe i should have been more clear.

That law about the artificial coloring is interesting though.
    I’ve never heard of that.
    Thanks for the fact! :o)

  5. Which is why I was being so specific about “from Spain” rather than “the language”. It explains the snack being naturalish cooked maize floor colour rather than “cheeze orange”.

  9. Im from Spain and I buy these cheetos. They are more soft and yummy than orange cheetos. It’s true, in European Union we have strong laws against artificial coloring. I’m always get surprised how colorful are food in other countries.
