I did warn you. If you happened to not heed my advice, you now know that both your ears and eyes have experienced far more trauma than they were ever meant to endure which pretty much sums up the entire Hello Kitty Christmas experience.

This really shouldn’t be a surprise. When the evil feline is willing to create a Hello Kitty Darth Vader or a Hello Kitty Klingon, it isn’t a stretch to imagine that she would try to invade absolutely every imaginable franchise including Ghostbusters. So while my eyes bleed at the sickly pink and my brain hurts at the abomination of a Hello Kitty Ghostbusters proton pack, I can’t say that I’m really all that surprised. If you’re a fan, be prepared to weep:

I guess in a way a Hello Kitty proton pack kind of makes sense. Any ghost that saw it would instantly explode at its hideousness without it even having to be turned on which would make it very effective. Of course, the unfortunate side effect would be that the entire human population would also be spontaneously exploding upon viewing it.

And if for some reason you had superhuman tolerance to the sight of the thing and survived, Hello Kitty has a special surprise for you — it comes with the predictably annoying sound pack that will have you wanting to put yourself out of your misery as quickly as possible:

I knew that I would probably regret putting together a photo album of all the different Hello Kitty cars that exist, and it sure didn’t take long for the regret to arrive in my email. No sooner had Sammy Bear on facebook asked the question, “Out of all the cars so far…where is a Prius? just saying” did this a Hello Kitty Prius photo show up (like anyone would doubt that a Hello Kitty Toyota Prius existed…)

There are some things in life that when I see, I give thanks that I was somehow spared from the Hello Kitty Hellishness. That is exactly how I feel about this recent Hello Kitty by Swarovski event in Japan (prepare for 5 minutes of sickening sweetness if you dare to watch this video — I highly recommend you use common sense and don’t as this will save your mind from losing several IQ points)

Going out to an event is supposed to be fun, not cause excruciating pain and leave you scarred for life. I guess that the only upside of the Hello Kitty Swarovski combo is that you at least have a fighting chance to use the Swarovski crystals to slit your wrists and put yourself out of the agony you would surely be experiencing…

There is never a good reason for anyone to ever have to listen to the Hello Kitty theme song (besides possibly terrorist interrogation). Despite this, not listening to the Hello Kitty theme song is not a realistic possibility if you live with a Hello Kitty fanatic. I guess if one must listen to it, there should be, at the very minimum, a quality ending.

Hello Kitty has an official music video, and although it is a terrible song, it does have one highly redeeming value — the words have absolutely nothing to do with Hello Kitty.

The immediate question is why has Hello Kitty decided not to try to ruin the hearing of her legions of fans with the usual sickly sweetness? My guess is that the people at Sanrio figured that both the Hello Kitty theme song and Hello Kitty online theme song had ended up disabling the spending of too many of the fan base by putting them into diabetic music comas, so they needed try something new.

Of course, this change will undoubtedly be a bad thing in the long run. By packaging a random song as an official Hello Kitty music video which has nothing to do with the evil feline, the Sanrio marketing department may have found an easy way to release a new Hello Kitty official music video every week. Pick a random song. Pile lots of Hello Kitty crap in the background. Hello Kitty fanatics can’t resist and go out and buy everything in the video. Wash. Rinse. Repeat.

All I know is that the one thing I have learned over the years is that rarely does anything good result in my Hello Kitty Hell when Hello Kitty tries to do something new for whatever reason…
