Hello Kitty Babies Scarred for Life

What’s worse than going to a Hello Kitty Hospital to have a baby delivered? Being the baby that is delivered in the Hello Kitty hospital:

Hello Kitty hospital nursery

Hello Kitty hospital newborn babies

Hello Kitty hospital room

You know those babies are scarred for life. What else would you expect if the first thing you see upon opening your eyes is hospital staff dressed head to toe in the evil feline? Then they go and dress you in Hello Kitty as well.

Of course, my wife thinks it’s the greatest thing ever and that when we have kids, that is where we have to go to get them delivered. I never thought I would say this, but a vasectomy is starting to look real good in Hello Kitty Hell at the moment…

Sent in by arry (via reuters) who should have to have all future kids delivered at that hospital as punishment for thinking even for a split second that sending me these photos could bring about anything good in the world…

I’ve gotta have that little dark haired baby…. So adorable!
    Can I buy him/her?

  • Lucy says:

    I have to admit… I actually like this…

  • Sara Dane says:

You know… I have to agree with Lucy, it’s kinda cute :) We can’t forget that HK is the Mickey of Japan, and I for one have seen many a hospital nursery/maternity ward with the Mickey theme so this really can’t be knocked…

    @Catherine
Ebay, try Ebay.. You can find all kinds of stuff on there!!

  • Stephanie says:

I don’t think that the HK is overdone here. Mainly it’s just the excessive use of pink. It’s really cute.

  • Sophie says:

Would YOU wanna be ill in this hospital lol?
I do love hello kitty, but slightly O.T.T?

  • emily hello kitty's truest fan says:

actually sophie i think sara has a point hospitals have all mickey n pooh bear why not hk? rather a cute innocent kitten than an obese bear or half naked rat……….Plus i love this hospital!!!!!!!
I so wanna go here to have my baby!!!!!!

  • Binks says:

I find this adorable for the maternity ward, sort of over the top for a regular hospital room. You do have to say though, it is very cheerful. At least if you are not Mr HKH.
@ Sara – so much cuter than Mickey
@ Catherine – only if it is a girl

  • Acton says:

The only one bothered by this is Mr. HKH. I see no problem with this. A little over done but better than the usual sterile hospital environment
As for babies come on Gus truly you are being absurd. A young baby or toddler wold not know any difference if it was Hello Kitty or Micky Mouse.

  • Xupz says:

OMG Can you imagine what kind of freaks those babies are going to become???

I worry for the next generation. What kind of society will we live in?
… one with HK freaks everywhere? “Oh Yeah, even when I was but a little child, I lived surrounded by HK <3 ! That must have been my destiny !”

    *I’m going to be sick.*

  • Catherine says:

    @Binks Your right…
    @Sara Dane…great idea. Actully I put him/her on my
Christmas list so Santa should take care of it.

  • OMG!!! I Need to have my baby there! ^_^

Maybe you should get your wife preggers so she can deliver a baby in this hospital!?!?! ;D

  • moriyah says:

I severely dislike this hospital. There is nothing there that would make me feel calm or relaxed. I like pink, but that’s just too much. Should I have kids, I’m going for home birth… just so I can avoid all the crap they put on the walls, etc.

  • andophiroxia says:

If I was expecting a girl. Ok.

For a boy, that would be embarrassing later on.

  • deuxanges says:

**Trying to find a bucket to puke in…**
    It’s not that I’m anti-HK, I just can’t stand THAT much pink. Oh gawd…

  • koolchicken says:

I have to say while it is a little much I like it. Maybe if the boy babies got to haveblue Dear Daniel blankets it would break up the pink a little bit. And if the nurses had a choice of their favorite Sanrio caracter for their apron? Anything is better than the usual hospital decor. Nothing could make a natural process seem more like a scary medical “procedure” than a sterile and cold enviorment. With equaly sterile looking staff, at least they have some cheer.

  • deidre says:

i want to have my baby there

  • Jaime says:

just notified the fiance that we have to start working on having a baby. now to buy my ticket to taiwan!

but seriously, i think have HK around when i’m in immense pain and suffering would be kinda nice. she’d feel bad for me but she wouldn’t sit there and smile and pity me. she’d sit there and quietly observe and encourage.

soon she’ll be performing baptisms into the church of kittyology.

  • cierra says:

Umm… I thought this was an anti-HK site. Why does the majority of the commenters actually enjoy these pictures? It’s sickening! Seriously, WHY would you EVER want to put your child through this kind of torture? Ugh, this makes me want to puke…

  • Kitty Pride says:

I fell in love with all that’s HK years ago. Give it up people – HK should rule the world!! Fear for my children because boy or girl I will subject them to several pre-school years of HK clothes, toys and electronics.

I want to know where this hospital is?!

  • Kimiko says:

Dude, if you get a vasectomy, I’m pretty sure you’re wife will make you get it done THERE. I dunno about you, but I wouldn’t want to be put under surrounded by that damn cat :|

  • Dawn says:

    OH thats tragic. And cruel.

  • Erica says:

You can see the video tour of that hospital here…
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g1eRaJMdNmA

:) hope this lightens up your day, haha.

  • negation says:

Do not tempt fate or Sanrio by even considering a vasectomy, if you do, it will be a Hello Kitty Vasectomy.

  • Kisa says:

I wish the hospital would have been like that when I had my 4 kids! geez now i’m jealous!
that’s much better then where I had to give birth!

  • Mi99 says:

    cute… um in a Nazi kinda way,lol

  • momma leanne says:

it is not that big of a deal. i gave birth to my baby girl here… it is not how it use to be.

  • Elle says:

LOL I hate to say this, but this was much nicer then the 70′s puke green and orange and yellow acid colors I gave birth in and I was stuck with Barney as the cartoon of choice there.

My poor son would hate it, but for a girl, I’m afraid I’d be totally okay with this (and I really want one of those aprons for ME).

  • mhkitty06 says:

I have to agree with Both sides…
WAYYYYY too much pick, and Pepto pink at that…
It would be a cute place to deliver a girl…maybe…

  • laila says:

What’s really freaking me out is the Hello Kitty incubator. Do they have a Hello Kitty neonatal ITU as well? What would that mean? Is even the special care unit done over in shades of baby pink? What about the ORs? Do the surgeons and NITU staff still wear the Hello Kitty scrubs? Would they put Hello Kitty on the ventilators? Would the bedside monitors have Hello Kitty surrounds? Is there such a thing as a Hello Kitty IV? Or Hello Kitty forceps? Are there Hello Kitty swabs and Hello Kitty surgical kits?

This rabbit hole has no bottom.

  • Kitteh!! says:

This is waay too pink! So pink I hardly even noticed the HK figures! ;)

  • Scott Covert says:

So the babies imprint on HK as their species and think all of members of their new family have tiny heads.

Just think how the morgue in that place looks. I bet a tiny HK coffin could really take the sting out of S.I.D.S.

  • kenzington says:

awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww……I STRONGLY DISLIKE PINK….like, big time……but, at least the little boy babies get BLUE hello kitty blankies…….the babies are adorable though………………..

  • Susana says:

I loved this, I wish that when I went through cancer and saw a million children wandering around in grey corridors I could have seen them smile in the company of some cheerful colours and this lovely scenario.
It’s so idiotic to assume these kids will get traumatized and do bad things I can’t even believe you’re actually saying this believing in it. I’m sure the vast majority of you would agree: Would you rather be born in a colourfull scenario or in a grey or half-dead green bed? duh, the first…

  • charlotte says:

    soo cute lol

  • Kitteh!! says:

@ Susana, there are other “cheerful and inspired” colour schemes besides “Pepto-Bismol with pale pink detailing”. ;)

  • keely says:

its cool and all but really????? not sumthing i would ever do!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Bre Bre says:

THIS HOSPITAL ROCKS!!!!!!!! Even though Im not going to have a baby anytime in the near future, when i do, im going there!!!!!!!

  • Jacqueline says:

OMG!! I dont want anymore children. But I would cerianly have one just to have it at this hospital!! I know some people think of it as Hello Kitty HELL But I would think that I had died and gone to HELLO KITTY HEAVEN!!! I love this hospital I want to work there!!

  • Wulfie says:

I bet this costs 5x’s more then a normal hospital. Yay it’s HK themed, so we gotta beef up costs. There’s no way in hell an intellegent insurance company is gunna pay for that. It’s excessive, it Is cute in smaller doses, but that much is Too much.

  • Aguie says:

    poor, but cute, babehs….
‘course, if i were a newborn with a squiched head, and the trauma of already being up close and personal with my mom’s va jay jay, this wouldn’t really add much more trauma. it would be kind of soothing really.

  • Amazed says:

This has gotta be the fastest way to make sure any future children hate HK. If everytime I saw the evil feline it made me think of the most painful and sad events in my life it would make me avoid her presence at all times. It’s genius!

  • hkisevil says:

This thing’s sending me to hell!
If i give birth in there, i would have son of the bitch as a child. I would be eaten up by that evil feline.
    Don’t go in there
    It might just kill you!
If your wife would be giving birth in there, tell her to go alone because you hate hell.
This is unbelievable than the hospital, imagine your kids becoming evil felines.
the truth is, i like HK but i hate the maternity ward and the hospital, because its just too scary.

  • mhkitty06 says:

@Scott Covert: ‘I bet a tiny HK coffin could really take the sting out of S.I.D.S.’
You are SICK! That’s just not right!

  • Pink Kayte says:

To be honest, hospitals are pretty horrible. With this, whether you hate or love HK, at least you have something to think about other than the painful reality of the situation. This would definitely cheer me up if i had to have an operation. Also, it would be really obvious if that hospital was dirty so hygiene would have to be meticulous, something which, unfortunately, can not be said for many hospitals. x

  • FL Mom says:

Very cute but too much pink!! A nice cream color, pale green, or some other neutral would have been fine for the background.

  • Catherine says:

    @Scott Covert
Lets stuff you in a tiny HK coffin.

  • Sanae says:

I am a nurse, and of course…. I WANNA WORK THERE!!!!

  • Merissa says:

I actually like this. So so cute!

  • isabelle says:

Wouldn’t they think Hello Kitty is they’re mommy? It’s the 1st thing they’ll see.

  • Bianca says:

I read about this recently on my Yahoo news and my first thought was – I have got to have my baby there! O.K. I’m not preggers yet, but when the day comes I REALLY hope that some American hospitals have this option too, or else the hubby and me will have to save-up to head on over to Yuanlin, Taiwan, that’s where the hospital is.
